Jasmine Velez is a dedicated professional filmmaker who specializes in cinematography and color grading. With over 13 years of experience in the film and production industry, she focuses on cinema verité-driven storytelling, creating powerful cinematic images across a variety of scenarios. Jasmine is committed to completing each project with the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness, producing outstanding visuals through expert lighting and shot composition that effectively convey stories for impactful branded projects, social media content, pilots, and documentaries. Her skills in designing and implementing advanced camera lighting setups and color grading techniques have consistently elevated the narratives of her projects. Currently, Jasmine works as a full-time Videographer at Bustle Digital Group.

 

She has had the privilege of collaborating with respected figures in the film industry. As a freelance video editor and assistant editor, specializing in documentary and short narrative projects, her work has been showcased at prestigious events and platforms, including the Tribeca Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, HBO, and Netflix. Additionally, her cinematography has been featured in notable publications such as The Guardian, PBS, and The New York Times. Her photography has also received recognition, having been exhibited at esteemed institutions including MoMA, The New York Times, and the Cranbrook Art Museum.

 

With a deep passion for visual storytelling and an unwavering commitment to excellence, Jasmine strives to create impactful narratives that leave a lasting impression on audiences.
